The Worst Album Covers Ever... You remember what album covers are, don't you?

This post needs no preamble, the photos speak for themselves (or should I say shout for themselves?).

Ah, the good old days.

Blessed relief!

I didn't realize hogs could make music.
Is this Dean Martin junior?

A Slim Whitman wannabe.

Jesus!  Save me from your followers.

Certainly got the lush part right.

The answer to this question is so obvious it should go without saying.  A trombone, stupid.

Looks like Johnny could use a few lessons from Reverend Ike.

Ballad of the Boll Weevil.  One of my favorites (even if misspelled).

Jerry Lee Lewis' cousin.  Another one.

Nothing like a babe on a recorder to make the heart go pitty pat.

Ummm... how about the rest of you?

Playing the accordion is good practice for other activities... I guess.

Curious minds want to know really 1957? WTF this would send the Gop into culture shock for real seeing as this is the time they want to take us back to.

  3. Too funny! Can't say that I remember any of them... But I do remember another usual one. The album was called "Knockers Up," and the singer was Rusty Something-or-Other, as I recall. Probably circa late '50s. (I may even still have it around here, if I weren't too lazy to go through the records.)

    1. I remember Knocker Up, strange as it seems. But I can't remember who did it either. Guess I could Google it and find out.

  4. I sort of like the Foster Edwards' orchestra cover. I have to say the "pussy' song blew me away, I just can't imagine the reasoning behind it but on the other hand I look back at some of the music from the 1980's now and wonder what in the Hell we were thinking back then.

  5. Yeah, the Foster Edwards' album... WTF? I guess he was betting on the old thing that it's hard to follow an animal act.

  6. Knockers Up was Rusty Warren. My wife's parents had it it and we inherited it. I always liked Herb Alpert's Whipped Cream and Other Delights album cover. Sexy, but not so in-your-face.

    1. I remember that Alpert album cover and like it too. Little Feat was really good at acceptable sexy album covers.

    1. I can't remember where I got these, but probably email or Facebook. It's really tough to figure out which of these is the most bizarre.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Chimp. I had never heard of Millie Jackson. Turns out she's a raunchy comedian.

  12. Blind Faith also had a topless picture on the cover of their one and only album. It didn't last long; it was quickly replaced with a more bland generic cover picture.

    1. I admire what you're doing Kylie. We, as a culture, have gotten so far away from "real".
