Was the last one taken just outside of Savannah on the way to Tybee Island? Looks like a place Husband and I grabbed lunch on an outdoor deck one time. We loved it. My fave photo is #4.
Unfortunately my only experience with Georgia is driving through it on I-Friggin-95 enroute to Dunedin. Maybe one of these cold winter weekends, if I'm not snowed in, I'll have to check out the climate - and food - off the beaten path there.
Absolutely wonderful photos!! I love the danger sign on the door, like anyone wouldn't know from the crumbling walls to stay out of there. Also love the wit of the older women painting in the cemetery. These are all beautiful & witty, and make you want to see it for yourself.
Very nice, C. Pining for home. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOops, forgot to say...GREAT photos!
ReplyDeleteNice break at the end of a good day. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteGropie... It is south of Savannah near Sapolo Island. A funky fish camp restaurant that's way off the beaten path. #4 is an old warehouse in Darien.
Husband and I stayed for 2 days in Darien a few summers ago.
ReplyDeleteyou are some photograher
ReplyDelete#4 is my fave as well
Gropie... I really like Darien. Near Brunswick and just down the road from Savannah.
ReplyDeleteKylie.. thank you. I think my favorite is the old gas station.

ReplyDeleteThank you Di. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful photos. I especially like the first stately home, the boats docked, and the door with the broken window shutters. Great work.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos that capture the beauty of the southeast coast. I once stayed in the Reynolds Mansion on Sapelo. Quite a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteImpressive, if I were a teacher I'd have to give you an A+.
