I knew where everything was and there would be no mistakes. An in-and-out job. I had the ingredients listed by location: baguette, basil, garlic, pine nuts, linguini, wine… a white Bordeaux... salad fixin’s. It was when I got home that I realized the one key ingredient pasta and shrimp pesto needs is… the freaking SHRIMP!

I think we've all done something similar a time or two. (And I tell ya, it has absolutely nothing to do with age!) Worse than that, though, was the time I wrote my detailed list, coupled it with an envelope of the appropriate coupons, and then blithely walked out the door ... without them.
ReplyDeleteNow I've done that way more times than you.
DeleteHeheh - forgot the shrimp? Oh well, that's just a little mistake! (pun intended) It happens to the best of us. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWould tofu work instead of shrimp?
ReplyDeleteArrrgh!
Deleteand it's not like you can substitute chicken for shrimp..or could you?
ReplyDeleteYou could, but it's no substitution
DeleteActually, a fine pesto with wine is just fine
ReplyDeleteSusan is right, it has nothing to do with age. I have gone to the store for salt, because we were out. Sixty dollars later I came home, without salt. Arrrggghhh.
ReplyDeleteYeah, or go to the store for food remember you need dog food, bird seed, etc. and come home with no food for yourself.
