The Old Grey Stud Ain't What He Used To Be

It started with the best of plans.  Punch would come up on Friday, we drive down to Daytona on Saturday morning, check out the cars, come back after the start and watch most of the Rolex 24 on TV.  A late party Friday night.  Another Saturday.  Hung over, cold, wet.  Blew the whole thing off.

  2. Girls. And i do not mean that as an insult to females. We've had the heaviest snow month ever recorded, temperatures consistently 30-40 degrees below normal, do you honestly think that stops the teenagers from wearing shorts and T shirts to the beer store? I did like that his schwantz had shrunk to be a pimple though. maybe he should have worn Bermuda shorts and not his speedo?.

    1. Yes, girls (or the hope for same) played a role in our decision.

  3. HA! Age has a way of teaching us how to roll with the punches better. Life tells us we're not up to doing A, and we say, fine, we'll do B. Twenty years ago, you probably would have gone to the races with the hangover. (Heck you probably would have been drinking AT the races...)

    1. We've been to so many of them it was really pretty easy to say "been there, done that".

  6. I've noticed that it takes less intoxicants to get to that special place than it did 40 years ago. You'd think it would be cheaper too, but sadly, inflation has more than made up for the drop in gallonage.

    1. I hadn't thought of it like that but now that I have... you're right. Still seems to take about as much out of my wallet. But, I guess I shouldn't complain so long as I get the same buzz.

Brian, the most important part of planning knows the plan will change.

G-Man, so you’re the one responsible for the 55 speed limit. Shoulda known.

MRMacrum, you math is akin to Isaac Newton.
