There Is No Justice

We were state high school marching band champions and it was homecoming and it was halftime.  The huge crowd watched as we marched in a single line until mid-field where every fifth person would turn one-by-one in the opposite direction forming long diagonal lines.  Everyone missed it except one, and he was believed the fool.

In my experience, yeah it's an unforgivable sin to be right when everyone else is wrong.

    1. Yeah, the poor boy was left hanging in the middle of the field all by himself.

  5. Reminds me of being in boot camp when the guide on marched us into a wall. That was one not happy company commander or company---especially as 3/4 of them were in the marching band.

    1. The drill sergeant used to get after me for not knowing how to march even though I had spent six years in a marching band. I finally figured out that if I just walked everything would be fine.

  6. when my husband was in basic training, there were a few that could never figure out which was right and which was left in time so they put a rock in their right hand..so when they heard right hup, they turned to the direction where the rock was.

  7. Which is why I choose to play the piano....no one expected you to march and carry a piano. ;)

    Happy weekend!

  8. This reminds me of the time I merged onto the freeway, and EVERY car was going the wrong way except me. And on top of all that, they all started honking at me. I thought to myself "Damn, what is WRONG with these people?"
