Love the photo of the blooming white tree in the cemetary. Husband is a big lover of Boston, and he enjoyed the Boston Pops on July 4th one year before we were married. I've never been. We looked at staying in a boat in Boston Harbor for a week during the summer...never did, but cool idea.
Gropius... the tree was in a cemetery of famous revolutionaries. It was like walking through a history book. Only been to Boston once but really enjoyed it. Almost as much as San Francisco.
We have enough abandoned and vacant land in Detroit that 1.5 Bostons would fit in it. Send us that red brick building we'll have it abandoned, stripped and worthless in a month.
Never been to Boston but a couple of friends have raved about it to me and your photos certainly conveys an image of a warm, interesting and yet gentle place.
Historical Boston is a beautiful, almost quaint, multi-cultural community with small but authentic ethnic neighborhoods. Except for one big-ass ugly insurance building the entire city is pretty low-rise. The best pubs in the country. At least, the best of any place I've been.
Unfortunately Intelli, Walking Man is probably right.
