So You Think You've Got Talent

This is a truly remarkable artist and well worth a look.

The video shows the winner of "Ukraines Got Talent", Kseniya Simonova, 24, drawing a series of pictures on an illuminated sand table showing how ordinary people were affected by the German invasion during World War II.

The Great Patriotic War, as it is called in Ukraine , resulted in one in four of the population being killed with 8 to 11 million deaths out of a population of 42 million.

The images, projected onto a large screen, moved many in the audience to tears and she won the top prize of about £75,000.

    C, I stopped over to take a quick look at your latest post as I was in a hurry to watch a movie. I thought, OK, I'll watch a couple of seconds of this and move on. I was totally enthralled and captured. This is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. Just when I think there is no hope for the human race, I run across such sensitivity to our condition and excesses.

    Beautiful post Chaz...maybe even the best post I've seen...ever.

    Cultural memory seems to be the one thing ALL supposed leaders leave out in their equations.
