Hate to say "I Told You So"... But I Did!

Mark my words:  The guy who flew the plane into the IRS building in Austin, TX, is just the tip of the iceberg.

There will be many more such events to follow as more and more people wake up to the fact that our economic and governmental systems are corrupt to the core and are left destitute by the rapists and looters who lead our financial and governmental institutions.

The news media branded the pilot's blog post and scathing depictions of the IRS, government bailouts, and "coporate America's thugs and plunderers" as "ranting" when in truth, he hit the nail on the head.  It's worth noting that the notorious Uni-bomber's manifesto illucidated the same complaints.  Blog after blog carry the same message.

Is it fair that innocents suffer as a result of these people breaking?  Of course not.  The workers killed in the latest attack are innocent victims struggling to keep their heads above water just like the rest of us.

But when people are stripped bare while corporate fat cats and politicians float off in their golden parachutes more and more of those people are going to arrive at the same conclusion as the pilot, Joseph A. Stack, "Violence is the only answer.  The only answer."

Hopefully I'm wrong.  Hopefully, people will wake up, turn the bastards out and take control of our government.  Hopefully, people will wake up and realize that things like worker's unions and socialist democracy are not evil but the salvation of the middle class.

Hopefully, but I wouldn't bet on it.

  2. With so many people feeling the same or similar frustrations, it seems more expeditious to band together and revolt en masse. Are Americans too much the indivdualists to join forces for a common cause? I don't get violence, don't understand how it can ever be seen as a solution...

    *sigh*

  3. I agree. I think incidents like this are becoming more common.

  4. The NYTimes ran an article this week about a Teabagging Grandma reading Ayn Rand and contemplating violent revolution. She was inspired by Glenn Beck to become the president of her local chapter of Tea Baggers and anticipates martial law.

I'm nauseous now and going back to bed.

  5. No one will wake up as long as their fears are pandered to by the pundits who make multimillion dollar paychecks to excite the base fears of the people.

Evil is afoot and it has a face. And now it has status as a human.

  6. Something that might make a difference is a viable third, or even fouth, political party. It really doesn't matter what the party's political leaning is so long as it forces the Congress to form coalitions in order to pass legislation.

  7. The FBI have removed his suicide note from the software company's site. Wonder why?

  8. I wouldn't bet on it either. I think there are bigger forces here than good & evil. Bigger than politics, bigger than religion, bigger than evolution.
The best thing for the American people to do is to stop buying into the system. Non-violent non-compliance is the key. Responding with violence/hate/anger only feeds the monster.

Very impressive strong post, btw. Glad you are back. Hugs. xo d

  9. B-but it can’t be true! You live in a free country! I’ve seen it in countless blogs, pitying those Europeans who live under the yoke of socialism, as opposed to the US, where the people have low taxes and are spared state/government intrusion into their lives.

  10. Welcome back C.

I have to disagree to a point. You may be right that there will be more acts of this sort, but I don't think Americans can get beyond their couches and reality t.v. to form an actual insurrection. As to taking a non-violent road and voting the bastards out, the bastards now have carte blanche unlimited funds for re-election. Lobbyists rule. Period. We are screwed and impotent. I am in agreement with walking man...again.

  11. For the near future Americans too fat and lazy to do anything, granted. Long range, history is on the side of insurrection... or is that reserection. In the meantime, Simon, do you have a spare room?
