    Despite the major players on the world scene we lost last year it was the news of Larry Hagman passing that got me.

    What's with all these stars I grew up with getting old? I don't get it!:) I just bought myself a Dave Brubeck cd so he lives on. They say you do as long as someone is alive who remembers you.

    As g-man said, we lost Alvin Lee a few days ago. Also several Motown people I hadn't heard of: one of the founding members of the Miracles (not Smokey Robinson) and two late-joining members of the Temptations.

    They're dropping like flies. For us older-than-dirt types, it's gonna get more and more like this every year.

    Yeah, I know what you mean. Those people had personalities bigger than life, but they were a part of our childhood, people we've "known" for a long time. It's the same in our personal lives. We've lost so much family and friends, sometimes I fear that I'm gonna be the last man (so to speak) standing.
