Celebrities who passed in 2012 that impacted my life in some way, some immensely, some not so much, all some.
pretty crazy huh?
ReplyDeletekinda sobering when they all touched your life in some way....
Quite the tribute.
ReplyDeleteThere's a few people that I wish were on that list!
ReplyDeleteAnd we lost Alvin Lee today... R.I.P.
Loved your DOA 55 Brother
Thanks for the Obits, and have a Kick Ass Week End
... someday we will all be on that list.
ReplyDeleteDespite the major players on the world scene we lost last year it was the news of Larry Hagman passing that got me.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what to think, though I agree with you, but I can picture moments of time with every one on that list. Life grows shorter.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that worries me is that in the not too distant future... I'm gonna be on that list! Well, hopefully, at least on somebody's besides a creditor's list.
ReplyDeleteI knew there would come a time when more people I knew (or about) have passed away than are left...yeah...the grim reaper is coming for us all and for some of us it might be sooner than we'd like!
ReplyDeleteWhat's with all these stars I grew up with getting old? I don't get it!:) I just bought myself a Dave Brubeck cd so he lives on. They say you do as long as someone is alive who remembers you.
ReplyDeleteAs g-man said, we lost Alvin Lee a few days ago. Also several Motown people I hadn't heard of: one of the founding members of the Miracles (not Smokey Robinson) and two late-joining members of the Temptations.
ReplyDeleteThey're dropping like flies. For us older-than-dirt types, it's gonna get more and more like this every year.
Oh, I need to start doing this again.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's just a sign of how old I am that your list indicates how much character has been lost to the world.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know what you mean. Those people had personalities bigger than life, but they were a part of our childhood, people we've "known" for a long time. It's the same in our personal lives. We've lost so much family and friends, sometimes I fear that I'm gonna be the last man (so to speak) standing.
