Oh, that's too funny. Comedians don't even have to stretch the truth to create satire anymore. (Didja read about the Texas GOP allegedly being against "critical thinking" being taught in schools?)
Please understand how I am phrasing this but if the country continues to decay into latter-day barbarism the Marching Morons will not allow someone like Lewis Black, and Stewart and Cobert, to live.
We're all fucked anyway, may as well die laughing at the ignorance we have allowed to become the American body politic. The Roberts court runs the nation now anyway which is the most hilarious part of the entire system how many years has Thomas been on the court and never once has he spoken or asked a question from the bench? I wonder if he just raises his hand and waits for Scalia to say "yes Clarance Koch called and said you can go to the toilet now"
the post and the comments reinforce for me the absurdity of a belief ( of any sort or at any level) in representative democracy. no wonder satire and irony are confusing for this generation of learners.

ReplyDeleteIt's a sad state of affairs when we have to look to our comedians for the truth.
ReplyDeleteThere are those who would say the real comedians are in office.
DeleteLOL. Great to hear another Lewis Black rant.
ReplyDeleteI caught a portion of it, but will try to watch from home. My work computer is obviously not fond of The Daily Show!
ReplyDeleteI posted the same rant by Black over on my site when it came out... he's about as angry about this shit as I am, so I use his stuff whenever possible.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
