Peace and Beauty on my doorstep.

A couple of my favorite things this time of year.

My mother's Christmas cactus.  I inherited the cactus ("saved" would be a better word) following my mom's passing a couple of years ago.  It was forgotten and parched.   Each year it rewards me with its beauty and memories.

My Pink Perfection camellia.  If Nature produces anything more beautiful, I don't know what it is.

And, last but not least, the wonderful feeling of kindness and compassion that fills the air at this time of year.

May you all be blessed.

  1. Peronally I prefer the variety of lotus blossoms but then it is a matter of taste I suppose. I like your mom's cacti though.

But that kindness and compassion thing...where do you find that at because there ain't none 'round here.

  3. I have a Christmas cactus that blooms on Valentine's Day, Easter, and Christmas. It's confused.

Love the camellia - my favorite bloom.

    Merry Christmas!

  6. Very nice C.

And btw, I happen to know that Punch does not practice his humbugger verbosity. In other words, as full of poop as every a man was, especially this time of year.

  8. How nice to see your lovely blooms, and the sentiments that accompany them.

Punch -- We wear our fake merry faces so no one knows how much we carry in our burdens. I wish you well.

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to you and yours, Mr. C.

  9. I am not crazy about this time of year as it leads to greed and spending for bullshit we don't need with money we don't have, but wow! A new plant store opened up in February and Christmas gave me the excuse to shop at her store to build her business, get some great plants and just feel happy about living things. Your pictures made me think of some of the plants we gave for the holiday. Thanks, Mr.C, for being such a buddy to me.
