Good Grief! Have You Ever Googled Yourself?

Currently being in a daily go-to-office work situation, I am cautious about my internet use and especially my blog, so I don't actually bookmark it but instead use Google to pull up Termites of Sin.  I am amazed at the stuff that comes up when I do so, not the least of which is Crazy Mary, an indie garage band in New York City.  Apparently, Crazy Mary has a song on one of their albums entitled Termites of Sin. It isn't surprising to me that someone else has discovered this jewel from the movie The Seven-Year Itch, I guess what's surprising is that more people haven't.

And then there's all manner of pest control companies, a myriad of scholarly studies on the nature of termites and...  Sandy Nelson and Sin City Termites.  Sounds like they should be from New Orleans, but in fact, they hail from Las Vegas.  Seems right as well.

And then there's "Termites And Sin" from some outfit called Christian Writers.  "What is the relationship between termites and sin? Cookies and religious denominations? A hidden canoe paddle and strengthening one's faith. Sean, Jerry, Lonnie, and Benjamin are challenged to find these answers and more as they become - Challengers from Camp Hope."  What?  Someday when I'm really bored I'll follow this one up.  Probably a good post in there somewhere.

  2. I have googled myself. I'm fairly rare, but not totally unique. There are a few people with my name in Brazil.

I'm pretty sure they all look gorgeous with all the attributes that you would expect from anything with the name "Brazil" in it.

    Just like me.

  5. My blog name is unique, but there is a guy with my name and same middle initial who hunts dinosaur bones. Lots of folk seem to have my somewhat common first and last names.

  7. I was shocked to see when I googled myself the other day that my photo seem to be all up there from Facebook! I think Google+ screwed my privacy up. I'm looking into it but am afraid I will delete my blog if I go back. Or maybe I can't I wish there was a phone number to reach customer service on google. sigh.

  9. My blog title pulls up other blogs first. If I google my real name, you have to go three pages in to get to the actual me.
